Never let your fans title your next project
Project: Origin is a terrible name. It’s a light-brown spot on a beige wall. A drop of Hi-C in your CapriSun. Or, to quote from a more poetic soul than I, a thumbprint on a skyscraper.
Regardless, here is a cool Project: Origin trailer on Gametrailers showing an enemy called “The Assassin.” What could this strange name mean? Might it be some alien language, some pre-Babel code from a broken unified language of humanity? Crap I can’t even keep this up, please name your enemies something more interesting than “Assassins” in the future, ok developers?
There’s some awesome stuff in this trailer. For one thing, the assassins fade in and out, looking like puffs of astral smoke while camouflaged. They also seem to have a knack for using the environment: in one shot, an assassin attacks then flips up over a girder and out of sight. From the trailer, it looks like these “assassins” (what a crazy name!) might be using the terrain in some sort of new, semi-intelligent way. Looks pretty cool!
